Childbirth Education
Independent childbirth classes teach families to advocate for the birth they want….the difference between your hospital’s class and an independent one can dramatic!
Choose an afternoon class, a series of four classes or a private class…even an online breastfeeding class. All families are welcomed and classes are taught by certified childbirth educators.

Natural Hospital Birth Class
BIRTH IN AN AFTERNOON – $140/family
Designed for the family planning a low intervention birth, especially in a hospital setting. Leave class feeling prepared and excited about meeting your baby with ways to reduce your risk of interventions and unnecessary cesarean birth. Also covered:
- understanding labor
- staying comfortable, breathing & relaxation
- communication with your provider
- birth plans
- postpartum basics
We offer this class at Frisco Women’s Health at Frisco Medical City.

PREPARING FOR BIRTH -Comprehensive Natural Birth Classes & Breastfeeding Course $225/family
This 4 class series is for the family desiring comprehensive birth preparation and is perfect for those birthing out of hospital or preparing for a natural birth/low intervention hospital birth.
Your class includes the breastfeeding course, Prepared Feeding and each session is available as a podcast, so if you need to miss a class – you won’t miss a thing!
This class is held at Urban Family Coop in Dallas.

Childbirth Refresher – $100
Is this your 2nd (or 3rd, 4th…) baby? This short and sweet class reminds you what you need to know about labor and birth.
Breastfeeding Course – $43
This online course is 3 hours of infant feeding instruction and advice streamed to you when you need it – and you can watch as often as you want! Watch toward the end of your pregnancy and watch again once you baby arrives. It’s indexed so you can easily find the info that you need. Topics include baby’s first latch, pumping and safe bottle feeding, troubleshooting common problems, weaning and using a pump. Prepared Feeding is INCLUDED with registration for the course Preparing for Birth.
Private Classes – $50/hr
Any of our classes can be taught privately in your home or our office and we can prepare a class for your unique needs.
