A Birth Class That Is FUN
Does an afternoon spent talking about birth sound like your idea of a good time? Well, it is for us and we want you to enjoy it as well. Our birth classes are interactive with demonstrations and discussion. There may be surprise guests as well. If nothing else, since the classes are located in the heart of North Dallas (Addison) and restaurant central, you can dream of all the fun places to eat after the class – but we bet you will be too busy learning and having fun to think about dinner.

Birth Class for WHO?
You! This class is designed to prepare for birth in a number of situations. It is a great class for families choosing to birth in a hospital with or without pain medication. This class is also appropriate for those that are giving birth in a birthing center or at home.
We Don’t Work for the MAN
We literally don’t. Great Expectations is a woman owned business, but what we mean is – we work for YOU! When we teach in our only agenda is to help prepare you for a great birth. Have you ever been jealous of those that know how to order extra cool coffee from the “secret menu” at Starbucks? Classes taught by a hospital employee will certainly be helpful but they often don’t teach the “secret menu”. If you don’t ask for those items, Starbucks won’t offer them. We want to teach you what is on the secret menu where you are having your baby and the hospital birthing class probably won’t.
A Birth Class that teaches WHAT?
Specifically you will learn the following:
- What happens during normal labor and birth
- How to know you are in labor – and what to do
- Ideas for position and movement during labor and birth
- Relaxation and massage techniques
- Effective communication with your care providers
- Information about common medical procedures
- How to initiate breastfeeding
- and more!
When and Where?
This class is taught on Saturday afternoons at our office at The Nest in Addison (4811 Broadway) or in Frisco at Frisco Medical City. Both locations are just off the Dallas North Tollway and close to Dallas, North Dallas, Plano, Frisco and basically all of the ever growing north Dallas suburbia landscape.
